Blueair, Inc., a Unilever Company located in the heart of the Loop, is seeking to add to our award-winning culture and team with a full-time Global DTC and Data Manager.


Position Description:

The Global DTC and Data Manager will support Blueair’s Global eCommerce & Digital team and is responsible for business partnering, technology strategy, vendor management, and executional services. This role must understand how to build, maintain, and effectively use our global CRM database to drive advanced segmentation, targeting, and personalization technologies across our eCommerce touchpoints. 

The role requires global stakeholder management and cross functional business knowledge to operationalize data driven marketing services. Areas of focus cover technology, data, and digital innovation. Through partnering brand teams, agencies, and internal service leads the role will facilitate personalization capabilities, campaign execution, performance analytics, and an IT capability roadmap.  Principle to this role will be accelerating business growth via technical innovation, big picture thinking, and strategic influencing.  In this role, the Manager must possess a challenger mindset, be consumer obsessed, and capable of positively influencing cultural norms.


Responsibilities and Functions

  • Ability to work under broad direction with full accountability for own work and project / stakeholder responsibilities. Receives assignments in the form of objectives. Establishes own milestones, team objectives and delegates team assignments.  The ability to gain stakeholder consensus, build coalitions, and present a vision to the broader organization will be crucial for success. 
  •  A strong industry network and organizational awareness are required to harmonize services across functions and geographies.  This role is responsible for all phases of technology delivery including; resource management, operate and run, solution design, analytics and support.
  • Responsible for monitoring technology trends and identifying new and emerging technology opportunities.  A proven track record of testing new ideas, technologies, and creative solutions is essential.
  •  Implement team & organizational design solutions; Drive on-going engagement initiatives
  • Work closely with Unilever Personal Data Center and their NA IT staff
  • Drive and establish processes in North America to then push out to the global markets
  • provide a range of monthly, quarterly and annual data insights and analytics dashboards to facilitate stepping up performance specifically around our customer data.



  • 5+ years managing global projects  
  • B.S. in Business or Information Technology or equivalent level of experience  
  • Strong Data Management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management   
  • Strong consultation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Web Analytics (Google & Adobe Analytics), and CMS systems
  • Ability to analyze data to guide business results
  • Ability to find synergies in multiple technology stacks
  • Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action and provide fact-based solutions/recommendations
  • Previous First Party Agency experience strongly preferred.



  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to retrieve information
  • Data savvy/data scientist
  • High level of information sharing skills
  • Highly organized, and able to create structure to support their role and responsibilities
  • Strong influencing and communication skills are required to develop the strategy and operational model.
  • Comfortable digging into data while also being an excellent strategist.
  • Adaptable and agile
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
