Background & Purpose of the Job

The Senior Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives to drive short-term and long-term results, while elevating the brand and delivering against key brand objectives.

The Senior Marketing Manager is part of the team charged with delivering growth and business results while strengthening the Blueair brand to win the hearts and minds of consumers. This candidate will bring energy and a passion for growing great brands through innovative thinking, collaboration, hard work and great creative execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development and execution of marketing plans and initiatives, campaign management across a variety of marketing channels including online and offline, leading creative design and packaging development, management of key portfolio initiatives, agency relations/management, direct to consumer marketing strategy and growing sales through effective marketing plans on blueair.com. 

Who You Are

Strategic Brand & Marketing Planning

1.       Support the Marketing department and broader organization in the development and setting of annual business objectives and strategic plans.

2.       Partner with internal and external stakeholders and agencies in the development of tactical consumer marketing plans that build brand equity and achieve business objectives.

3.       Work closely with Sales to develop strategies and recommendations for account specific and retail marketing initiatives that achieve retailer, brand and business objectives.

4.       Develop go-to-market strategies for new Blueair product launches.

5.       Monitor trends and serves as an internal thought leader and expert in consumer marketing, brand building, consumer and market trends and competitive activity.

6.       Develop and execute SEO, SEM, Display strategy driving traffic to and increasing conversions on blueair.com.

7.       Oversee creation of new assets, such as online content, print ads, social ads, videos, images, copy.

Marketing Activation & Initiatives

1.       Lead the day-to-day development and execution marketing initiatives and tactics, including brief development, creative reviews, production and execution.

2.       Partner with Brand Management and/or Sales teams to ensure internal alignment against marketing objectives and tactical execution.

3.       Ensure all marketing activations are consistent with the brand positioning, voice and image.

4.       Manage annual marketing activation calendar and consumer marketing budgets.

5.       Track and measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives and tactics, making recommendations where appropriate to optimize performance.

Product Development & Portfolio Management 

1.       Act as main contact for Global Product Management team at HQ

2.       Oversee the development of packaging, merchandising, vehicles and other creative assets including logos, labels, product shots.

3.       Represent views and needs of Blueair North America related to product needs, features, packaging, pricing, launches and competitive insights to Global Product Management team.

Misc.

1.       Performs other activities as needed to support the overall company growth strategy.

2.       Manages a team of marketing all-stars, delegating tasks and setting priorities to ensure all deadlines are met

Position Requirements:


  • 6 years of experience in marketing, product management/marketing, or brand marketing preferably in appliances/housewares/consumer goods
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Experience shaping or creating brand positioning
  • Experience leading the creative development process, including brief development, reviews and production.
  • Proficient and passionate about new marketing approaches and tactics (e.g. SEM, SEO, digital marketing, lead acquisition and/or generation (online and offline).
  • Ability to effectively plan and lead projects working directly and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, internal key stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to effectively toggle between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • Adaptive, flexible, and willing to work in fast-paced environment with dynamic business and industry challenges.
  • Professional maturity; ability to work across all levels in the organization and lead projects effectively.
  • Highly committed and willing to go the extra mile to support team, projects and company initiatives.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills, strong presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in all general management tools, including Microsoft Office (Strong PowerPoint skills required, Keynote and other presentation programming skills a plus) and basic design capability ideal (Adobe Suite of products, InDesign, other).
